Argentina : 18 players called to prepare World Championship

Head coach Eduardo Gallardo unveiled the names of the 18 players called to prepare the 2017 World Championship in France.

After reaching their best result ever in an international competition (10th) at the Olympic Games in Rio, Argentina hopes to pull an upset during the World Championship in France. To do so, the Argentinian team will be almost the same than in Rio, but with a significant asset, as Diego Simonet, the star of the team, is back in business, after missing the Olympics due to an injury.

Argentina will begin 2017 World Championship against Denmark, on January 13th in Paris’ AccorHotels Arena, where the « Gladiatores » will play all their other group D games. They will then successively face Sweden (January 15th), Qatar (January 17th), Egypt (January 18th) and Bahrain (January 20th).
