Qatar have used the first of their two player replacements allowed at the 25th IHF Men’s Handball World Championship ahead of their second match against Bahrain on Sunday January 15. Centre back Abdelrahman Abdalla has been replaced by left wing Ahmad Madadi.
At the age of 22, Madadi has already played 23 matches and scored 60 goals for Qatar, and plays his club handball with 2016 IHF Super Globe participants Al Lakwiya.
