Spain team’s head coach Jordi Ribera called 19 players for the preparation phase leading to World Championship.
The 2017 World Championship in France will be Jordi Ribera’s first major competition as the head coach of the Spain team. To prepare the tournament, the former Brazil team’s head coach called 19 players, who will get together on December 26th in Leganes. The French championship has a rather noteworthy presence in this list, as four players of the Spanish squad are playing in it.
The Spain team’s preparation phase will end with a friendly tournament in Irun, from 6 to 8 January, with Qatar, Poland and Argentina. Jordi Ribera will then settle on his final list of 16 for the World Championship. Spain will first play against Iceland at the Arènes de Metz, where they will play all their first round games inside group B. Spain will then successively face Tunisia (January 14th), Angola (January 16th), Macedonia (January 18th) and Slovenia (January 19th).
