ROK AND KOOLETTE, THE 2017 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MASCOTS
Rok, the bear, and Koolette, the weasel, are the two official mascots for the 2017 World Championship.
Designed by the agency ZeBrand, these two characters embody the values of handball, combining strength and power for Rok and agility and dynamism for Koolette.
Their names of course refer to the “roucoulette” (a spin shot), a move always appreciated by handball fans.
The two mascots had a mission to accomplish: to gather as many friends as possible around them be- fore January 2017.
They participated in meetings during the tour of the host cities in September 2016 and of course are pre- sent at all the Men’s World Handball Championship games, to elevate the atmosphere in the arenas, the stands and on the sidelines.
