The International Handball Federation (IHF), Handball World Championship rights holder, has awarded the 2017 edition to the French Handball Federation (FFHB). The official IHF partners have therefore become France Handball2017’s.

Its partnership with the IHF and the World Championship is a logical one and the event’s official products of the event will be available at Intersport.

Molten Corporation specialises in sports equipment, automotive parts and healthcare equipment. Last year, the Japanese company became the official ball supplier for all IHF sanctioned competitions. Molten has also signed a partnership with the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and is among the official ball suppliers for leagues and national federations in volleyball, beach volleyball, football and rugby. Molten balls meet the demanding technical criteria set by the IHF but they also feature a unique and customised design for the Handball World Championship. The “X 5000”, official Qatar 2015 ball, incorporated the elements of the championship’s brand identity.

The Caisse d’Épargne strengthens its engagement with Handball by partnering with the 2017 Men’s World Handball Championship Organising Committee. In addition to supporting the “experts”, who will defend their title, the Caisse d’Épargne aims to accompany FFHandball in the success of this international event which will be responsible for mobilising the regions of France. The team will work alongside the audio description system being used for the first time in a World Handball Championship. There will be a commentator to describe the atmosphere in the sports arena, and a sports journalist from L’Équipe channel to describe the game, all of which will bring the matches to life for the visually impaired for 8 matches in the competition (1 match on each site). In total, three journalists will work on this: Raphael Sebaoun, Benoit Cosset and Candice Rolland.
